I am addicted to having a hot bath every day. It"s something that helps me relax and distance myself from the events of the whole day. I usually spend a lot of time in my new bathroom lying in hot water and sometimes I even fall asleep there. Fortunately, I"m the only person who uses this bathroom (there"s another one with a shower in the flat) so my flatmates do not mind. I usually pour a lot of hot water, approximately 38 Celsius degrees, into the bath and then add some bath salt and sink into the bath. At first it seems too hot but then the body gets used to the temperature. I usually read books, listen to the radio or drink a glass of wine. Sometimes I even sing there or finish my work! I work at home and my job involves a lot of visual design so I sometimes get the best ideas when I"m relaxed and don"t have to think. A lot of my friends say they also get the best ideas while doing something completely unrelated to their work. While I"m taking a hot bath, I sometimes think about my problems and people I have argued with. This helps me feel a bit distanced. I think taking a hot bath is not only good for your health, it actually has some positive effects on your mind. Of course, I have to be careful not to sit for too long in my new bathroom. There are a lot more important and interesting things to do.
